Director of Public Services
The City of Riverside is seeking an experienced Director of Public Services to lead its Service Department consisting of thirteen employees. The Director of Public Services oversees the department budget and operations, manages infrastructure projects and ensures quality resident services. The Director is also responsible for the general supervision, custody, care and maintenance of the public buildings, grounds, streets, sewers, municipal utilities and other properties owned or operated by the City. The Director oversees the street lighting and traffic signalization programs, administers the municipal solid waste collection and disposal contract, attends City Council meetings and serves on various boards and committees. In addition, the Director oversees and implements aspects of the capital improvements and strategic plans.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience is required. Knowledge and familiarity with municipal street, parks, stormwater and building maintenance operations is required. Experience coordinating infrastructure projects utilizing local, state, and federal funding sources is a plus.
The salary range for this position is $69,000 – $87,000, DOQ, and includes a competitive benefits package. Part-time Firefighter position
The City of Riverside is accepting applications for Part-time Firefighter. Under general direction, performs specialized work with regard to protecting life and property through fire suppression, fire prevention and emergency medical services and may assist with fire inspection and code enforcement duties related to the position of Fire Inspector. Minimum qualifications include Ohio certificate for EMT-Basic and Firefighter I, Current Ohio Driver’s license, NIMS 100 and 700. Pay Range is $8.27 – $16.00 / hour.
